I am using a trunk version, not the latest (merged today), but a 10 days old. And I can easily get 200/200Mbits on 5GHz with my SISO phone from about 5 meters.

2.4gig looks fine as well: 55-60Mbits.

Yep, a new build is under testing (and it seems stable and very fast on 5G and Lan)!
I think that Bartvz will release it soon, so stay tuned :wink:

cool, i'm not in a rush, the current build is working great for me, just found the silence in this thread strange.

BTW can we wear out the storage from too much flashing ?

@All, I have been extremely busy with work so that is why there is silence.
However, a new build is uploaded to the OP. Thanks to @Axl_Mas for testing it.

Mostly upstream changes (newer mt76 driver, WireGuard) however I have also included banIP, which provides ipset blocklists for known bad IP addresses. Should provide a bit more security.

Hello, newcomer here, is it possible to set channel in debug mode? On my current 860L firmware I have this option instead of EUROPE channels, this option for me presents more stability as the router can switch to whatever channel is appropriate without crashing.

I have finished the tests on the new build some time ago, we are waiting for the final checks from Bartvz and the release.
He is very busy this period but I really appreciate that he is continuing his great work for our device :slight_smile:

his work is the only decent firmware for this Router, there is no way to find any better in d-link or dd-wrt ,openert, if he will stop then the routers will become useless!!

Through Luci interface you can change the Country code setting to "India" and access channels until 165.
US, Europe and most part of countries in the word don't allow these frequencies.
Please find below the channels permitted in every country (it can helps you to choose the best Country code for you).


I didn't make any test on these channels so I can't assure you that they actually work well with our router/builds.

161 is the highest channel i have seen devices supporting it, over it either doesnt work the VHT80 or it doesnt work at all. in US and Canada regions 144-165 are allowed to high power -i think it can reach 1000dBm,, india it says "indoor" i think this means that it cannot go over 20dBm .

@All, there is a new build in the OP :scream:
Took me a while but my work does not leave me with a lot of time to tinker around. My plan was to provide a stable build and an "experimental" master build. In two weeks I have some free time so the plan is to also release an 18.06.2 build which will not be updated as frequently as the experimental builds.
That being said, a new build is in the testing phase.
