Opkg update: Failed to send request: Operation not permitted on Belkin RT3200/Linksys E8450

1 once upon a time, I set up this router as a bridge, it worked like this for several years without problems, but recently it rebooted, and the web interface stopped working, ssh is working, I can wire into the interface

2 I read the instructions, looked at the list of services and did not find luci there, so I decided to install it again.

3 I connected Belkin to a router with the Internet, plugged the cable into the port of the van, and the Internet LED lit up

4 but opkg update is not working

There is no opkg in snapshots anymore (and your snapshot is very much out of date). You must sysupgrade first, either to 23.05.5/ 24.10.0-rc5 or a current main snapshot. 23.05.x and 24.10.x will continue to use opkg (and opkg will work in those), main has switches to apk instead.

What does not work, is using opkg on a snapshot build (nor would the packages be compatible ~3 years later anyways).

thanks a lot! installed, the only problem, which is very strange -- when you turn the router off and on, all the settings are reset to the default state
