Someone has actually done most of the work back in 2021 to add support but never submitted a PR.
As the USG and USG Pro 4 are now considered Legacy, has anyone else got a USG Pro 4 to help with adding support?
I'm just getting started with OpenWRT after being on Unifi for quite some time. I was tracking down how to flash my old USGPro and saw this thread... I'd love to contribute but won't have time to work on it for another month or two. How can I help once I get back at it?
The above contributed patches were for Openwrt 21.02.0-rc4.
So the first step would be to recreate what the previous support did and work forward from there.
I've managed to acquire an ER8, this is the Edgerouter Pro without the 2 SFP ports, so I'm going to be testing the current device profile as it may be easy to add support.
