Hello there.

Seems that the Fortinet 221-B has been supported in OpenWRT since Jan 2023.
I myself have 2x 321-C units that I ported OpenWRT to, but the code needs to be merged in. Not sure when this will happen.

Do you have some OEM firmware for this unit, and a FCC ID, that we can determine the unit's hardware peripherals?

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well! It's been a couple of months since this thread started, and I wanted to check in and see if anyone has made any progress or had success flashing OpenWRT onto the FortiAP 223C.

I know this is a niche device, but I’m holding onto hope that someone in this amazing community might have found a solution. It’s such a great piece of hardware, and it would be incredible to see it running OpenWRT.

This community never ceases to amaze me with its kindness and resourcefulness.
