I use a hard disk connected to usb but i'm using ext4 file system for it. I include ntfs3 on my build for people that want to have it.
I really don't know what would happen in that case.
@bahtsiz_bedevi selam, unreleated question for this topic but were you able to successfully change VLAN ID on Mi BE3600?
Sanirim beni baskasi ile karistiriyorsun, bende Mi BE3600 yok.
English: I think you are confusing me with someone else. I don't have Mi BE3600
Hi, any one else noticed that wifi sometimes just "hangs"?
For example I've got one laptop connected but other doesn't want to connect, and when I just disable/enable any of the wireless network it is fixed most of the time, but sometimes I need to restart the router.
Any idea how to debug that?
Which build are you using?
Openwrt-snapshot?
Openwrt-24.10?
Hello, can you release a fan-disabled build or make a tutorial how can we disable that fan? Because fan is so noisy and I put a 14 cm fan at it's bottom so it doesn't have heat issue. Also can you add kmods (kmod-nft-queue) for "zapret" support? Because in our country discord etc. are forbidden and we need to use "zapret" for avoid this on our network. Thanks so much for spending efforts for this router.
I do not recommended to stop the fan but you can doing fanctld stop
on a ssh sesión, or stopping fanctld on system-start luci page and disabling the service in that page to not run the service on start up.
In these cases, I recommend raising the control temperature to 90000.
uci set fanctld.config.Temp=90000
uci commit
service fanctld restart
This change is permanent and does not change when you update the firmware, keeping setting.
To change it, either use the same commands with a different value, or reset the router.
By default, the Temp parameter is set to 75000.
Keep in mind that if the device reaches this temperature (90000), it's a good idea to start cooling it down, as higher temperatures could make it somewhat unstable.
Thanks so much. You made us so happier now. How about that "kmod-nft-queue"? We need it for using "zapret". Can you include it in next build?
What's the point of using asvio's build if you don't want the fan support?
asvio's build is a fork of qosmio with the fan support enabled, you can use that too
you should compile your own firmware with kmod-nft-queue
enabled by following this guide https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-developer/toolchain/use-buildsystem
Asvio bulid has built-in packages, 160 MHz and NSS support. That's why I use his build. Will try build my own firmware later, thanks.
@qosmio is the maintainer of NSS.
If you want a firmware without the fan support:
- Clone qosmio's repo
- Select nbg7815 in the
.config
file - Enable the packages you want
- Compile the firmware
Is this the only access point on your network?
Does it occur on the 5GHz band, the 2.4GHz band, or both?
Have you tried disabling Usteer, which is enabled by default?
It would also be interesting to know the configuration of the affected WLANs and if you're using any special network settings.
I'm using two SSIDs per radio, each WLAN is on a different VLAN, and I'm not having any disconnection issues. I have Usteer disabled and am using 802.11r and 802.11k in the WLAN configuration.
Yeah it is only access point.
It happens to both 5 and 2.4 bands
I will try disabling the usteer and see if it helps.
Thanks!
@bahtsiz_bedevi Selam, If you're free and don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions. My username is the same on every platform, can you reach me (e.g. Discord)
There is no brave man in Türkiye who can compile images, so my valuable asvip master, I need an image to be captured for Zyxel armor g5 and I have opened a telegram Türkiye channel, everyone is invited.
we do compile our own images from asvio's sources
Official stable 24.10.1 just got released. https://openwrt.org/releases/24.10/notes-24.10.1
But i will wait patiently for @asvio 's nss 24.10.1 release!
Thank you @asvio for your great work!
What is the difference between formal openwrt release and Asvio release?
