OpenWrt squashfs-sdcard image not loading overlay from SD rather mounting on RAM

HI , I am building a custom image for OLimex A20 Micro board using the SDK. All is well except I loose all the data when a restart happens.

On investigation i found that the overy is mounted in RAM. Although the image I burned to my card is the squashfs-sdcard.
