Aha. Thanks for reminding me. I intended to try that and then forgot about it. Indeed USB-C to USB-C cable works it seems - uptime of whopping six minutes and counting! Now I googled it and see that PD requires only USB-C cables, I was not really aware of that. Thanks for the help!
