Hi @@blogic,
I have been searching around forums for similar issues and try to check both Binana docs/OpenWrt docs but could not understand the current issue I have.
I bough 1pcs OpenWrt One from Alibaba with QC is passed.
- When received the board: Plug in power, only PWR LED is ON, there is no sign of other front LEDs - no matter NAND/NOR switch is selected.
Using serial console on both Type-C and TTL, there is only one strange char is displayed when plug in/plug out power adapter.
Tested using other USB Type-C cable/recovery mechanism (as in OpenWrt One) - no sign of serial communication
- Only few times, using C-C cable with MacBook Pro - I could see boot log from serial console and then able to upgrade to latest OpenWrt version.
However, using provided power adapter - it does not work. And after other day, even powered from MacBook Pro could not help (only PWR led is ON).
Validated using TYPE-C analyzer, OpenWrt One picked correct USB PD profile 15V-3A. And I could just keep power on for a while and can see heatsink is warm, meaning SoC should be powered up.
- Yesterday, I tried to plug in again to see if there is any luck, then PWR LED is ON for few secs and OFF and repeat again, then heatsink is very hot - the board could be broken.
I think the board is not well tested at factory. Do we have any similar case with this OpenWrt One model ?
