OpenWRT on TPLink Archer MR200 V8

Hi there

I have a TPLink Archer MR200 V8 and like to know, if I can use the firmware for the V1 or V5?
I like to use it with Wireguard.

Thanks in advance.

Other devices firmware will never work. Since the device is new there are no firmware files on the webs to find information about device internals.
tplink recently makes their devices cheaper to manufacture, meaning less chance they run Linux or even have sufficient oomph to do so.
If you find boot log in OEM web interface it may help to disqualify device quickly or not. Otherwise you must open it down to removing RF shields and heatsinks to identify chips on PCB.
Or we wait couple of months to find firmware on their websites....

Thank you for the answer.
I only find a system log without useful information.
Do you know how to find the boot log?

Maybe something is emitted on serial console, but going so far you already see the chips.
By chance any FCC ID printed on the box or device?

Unfortunately no FCC ID visible and no screws in the housing to open it without plastic clip damage.

So we have to wait another year for either fw upgrades or somebody with more (as in crowbar) courage....
