Openwrt on Orange Pi 5 Plus - Testers?

I got bored. I don't have the hardware.

The immediate goal is to get it on the sdcard/emmc, and then work on a bootable nvme image.

If you have a Orange Pi 5 Plus, are feeling adventurous, and know how to flash and/or recover your device, come join us. Be aware it probably won't work the first few times, but you never know.

openwrt x86 mini pc is good idea.

  1. Has this been tested and confirmed working?
I need to upgrade my router and was thinking of buying an OPi5+ but didn't want to waste the $$ if it doesn't work.
  2. If it does work, which wifi card is compatible with the best results for coverage?

Hi!

I could never find testers willing to try out.

That's unfortunate.
I don't want to outlay $300+AUD to find out that it doesn't work.

I don't blame you! Check it the Openwrt One for a good platform if you're in the market for new in that form factor

Thanks,
Even the OpenWRT One is nearly $200 to Au and nothing on AliExpress seems to have Au powersupplies.

Well seems I can afford one.
I'll be able to test it for you soon.
Send me a list of what needs to be tested and I'll give you a report.
