Hello, is it possible to install OpenWRT on the Keenetic Speedster KN-3013 router? I've seen that it's not supported, but it can use the KN-3010 firmware, won't it turn into a brick?
Try searching for 3012?
Hi, I didn't understand a bit. At the moment, I have found that there is a firmware for KN-3010, but 3013 is not supported, how to get out of this situation? What kind of firmware can be installed..help please
3012 is totally different from 3010.
3013 has no publicly visible specifications.
Try getting boot log via web interface, thete should be SoC and CPU type around string "Linux version "
Edit: do not flash openwrt, almost certain your hw revision is totally different hardware than 3010 one.
It seems like KN-3013 was released in a limited number of countries (Russia, CIS, Turkey?). The specification of this model can be found on the Turkish version of their website. On Global version, link of Keenetic Speedster will fall back to KN-3012.
This model is very similar to KN-3010. The same processor with some expansions/cutoffs? Still kinda scared to flash KN-3010 version.
Safer attempt would be to attach TTL console adapter, try to interrupt bootloader and
- backup flash contents
- try to netboot kernel-initramfs from supposedly similar device.
Do you have by now OEM firmware file to extract using binwalk, potentially encountering some bits of kernel config, like binary DTS to decompile?
Any chance to get OEM boot log from OEM web ui?
Rebooted device, got boot log from web-ui (it only saves last 3 minutes of log), can be found there (pastebin).
Firmware bin file is also from web-ui, link (puu.sh, will expire in 90 days).
Firmware can also be found on their vault website (KN-3013_stable_4.2.6_4.02.C.6.0-0.bin). Filesize is larger than the one I took from web-ui.
