OpenWrt installation on TP-Link Archer AC1200 v1

then is there a way to change the root password without going from uart?
if it's just "powered by openwrt" .. but what about the ssh opened shell?

no way to take "blobs" from ddwrt or proprietary broadcom driver to get 5ghz working on openwrt?

Sure, just make sure you downgrade the kernel by 10 years or so, in the process.

attitude adjustment is not a problem, stock/tplink rom firmware is :open_mouth:

With very old bugs (already fixed in newer kernels) and without new useful features?
Openwrt development team make choice in favor of actual kernels/apps and drop support of such blobs.

The pictures show C1200 v1, not AC1200 v1.

C1200 v1 is currently not supported by OpenWrt (at least there is no dedicated image available).

Hardware specs: https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/TP-LINK_Archer_C1200_v1.x

SoC = Broadcom BCM47189 = bcm53xx target -> Currently only one device with the same SoC -> Tenda AC9
