Openwrt in esxi act as a internet router issue

Dear All,

         I'm new in openwrt and I have recently installed openwrt in esxi, and the openwrt is in below version, and i want this openwrt to be act a internet router, and my esxi has 2 nic, 1 connected to wan and 1 to lan, and i have assigned both nic for openwrt in esxi, but i do not know how to enable NAT inside openwrt to act as a router, any help would be appreicated

in Network - Firewall - Firewall zone settings,

Zone ==> Forwardings

                  input         output      forward       Masquerading 

lan => wan acceot accept accept uncheck
wan => lan acceot accept accept checked

may you guide me where i can upgrade the firmware ? any link can find the latest firmware version ?

When a newly installed OpenWrt first boots and finds at least two Ethernet ports, it will set up one as lan and one as wan with NAT(v4) between them.

Most problems with running OpenWrt as a router in a VM are related to properly setting up networking in the host machine / hypervisor, which is beyond the scope of this forum.

I totally agree, but pointing him to the OpenWrt on VirtualBox HowTo would be a nice gesture :wink:
