Problem here is that there is no official firmware. The only way possible might be setting one router in the middle of a PC and MITM the update servers. If an update comes maybe we can fetch it. But who knows when a new update may come... maybe the routers are not updated to the last version on deliver? That could be an option.

Anyway this conversation feels so chaotic for me. It feels like people is proposing things to @Annick and he is paralely issuing random commands and bricking devices :rofl:

because is in ram, we do not have a DTS to build a firmware.
in ram it will boot or not but will never brick the device.

You can always dd the mtd, assuming you can get one of the other devices to boot an initramfs.

But I'm kind of lost in all the posts, don't know what's been tested. Gonna take a step back for a while.

yes he can backup all. but i still think the device is not really bricked for good, it's a dual partitons.
