Alright. Seems I have good chances (a working device on stock fw and a bricked one). Never did a fw dump. Is there a guide you know of?

Looking for ch341a v1.7 specificaly wouldn't be the worst idea, as the older h/w versions (with the dark brown/ gold framed PCB) put 5V on the data lines.
