OpenWrt for Tenda AC18 AC1900 router

Hi

Are there any compatible custom firmware's available for this router?
I had one that worked with ASUS Merlin firmware, but it bricked after a month...
I would like to try and install openwrt on it, but it is not supported...
Received a new one. The standard Tenda firmware is really crap.
Please advise if there is any way of installing some form of custom firmware on this router.

The support status of a device can easily be checked via the Table of Hardware.
The Tenda AC18 is currently not supported.

Given that it has Broadcom wireless, it is not an "interesting" target for anyone to port to OpenWrt, due to the lack of support from Broadcom for open-source drivers. See further https://openwrt.org/meta/infobox/broadcom_wifi
