OpenWRT and Wi-Fi-repeater from Aliexpress

Hello.

I bought a Wi-Fi extender on Aliexpress https://goo.su/Al5Fi. It has an MT7628DAN processor and 25VQ64CSJG memory (64Mbit).
I downloaded the firmware https://goo.su/55LOJ for the MT7628D processor and installed this firmware via the standard web interface bootloader.

After downloading the file via the standard bootloader, the router is no longer accessible. The router is also unavailable at the address 192.168.1.1, OpenWRT does not load. Why is that? Is there any way to roll back or am I using the wrong address? And how to install OpemWRT correctly? Is it possible to install OpenWRT using the firmware of the SPI memory?

Because you probably bricked it, soft or hard.

We have no idea.

If it's not specifically supported, it's unsupported, x86 excluded.

I generated a .bin-file for the processor here: https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=24.10.0&target=ramips%2Fmt76x8&id=mediatek_mt7628an-eval-board

After flashing the device did not work.

MediaTek MT7628 is supported

That's the SoC, not the device.

Yes, that's what "If it's not specifically supported, it's unsupported" means.

What do you need to know about the device to generate a working .bin-file?

We don't need anything, you do, you own one, we don't.

But 64mbit RAM means 8MB, that's way to low for OpenWRT, 128MB is the minimum for new devices.

Recycle it, and move on.

Why 128 MB? The page you were given only mentions 16 MB.

Aren't you confusing flash with RAM ?

128MB it is, no matter what.
You'll get away with 64MB too, but as your own private project, I doubt 64MB RAM devices are accepted today.
Unfortunately you got 8MB RAM.

Does an OpenWRT device need to have RAM?

Tried starting your computer after pulling the RAM?
