It broke my TPLINK OnHub, but strangelly wifi is on I see the network but it does not connect, same with ethernet cable. Should I reset it with reset button? On my other routers upgraded just fine, thanks for the amaing work!

It seems that the Redmi AX6S/Xiaomi AX3200 24.10.0 images may have some issues (to be confirmed). There are user reports [1] [2] saying that this image is soft bricking their devices (even when following the special upgrade procedure from 23.05 to 24.10 required by these devices).

I successfully upgraded my travel router TP-Link TL-WR902AC v3 from rc7 to 24.10.0 via luci-app-attendedsysupgrade and kept settings. Everything went smooth, now running travelmate, wg, openvpn-wolfssl and pbr via netifd. I have not seen any suspicious entry in the log files.

I have built some images with the firmware selector to upgrade my main routers in different locations from 23.05.5 to 24.10.0 to another time and test them, too.

No because of the switch to DSA you cannot upgrade and keep settings or put an old config back upgrading from 23.xx.

What you can do, at your own risk is this:

Upgrading from 23.05 to 24.10

Safest method: Upgrade without keeping settings and put settings in manually you cannot restore from an old config.

However at your own risk you can do the following:
Only get new defaults for config files system, network and sqm, by renaming those files in /etc/config before upgrading.
You can then force upgrade while keeping settings
Then OpenWrt generates new default files for you (note: your router will be on 192.168.1.1 after upgrade!).
You can then use the renamed config files to copy some settings back

I have been testing my 23.05 and master builds by keeping two versions of system, network and sqm config files, and have just been copying the correct one into place before sysupgrade.

Check WAN mac address it should be different from LAN ports for EA8500 and EA7500v1!

Just to be sure on you EA7300v2, you didn't notice the "Ethernet link instability on some MT7530 switches .. issue #17351" in the logs where you see lines similar to

I have the same router and saw it uses that driver in the syslogs, so I wanted to verify if it had that issue before upgrading.

Is the imagebuilder broken for filogic? Seeing lots of errors like this:

Also reported for 24.10-RCx by different users but there is a problem with using a Netgear R7800 as a Dumb/Bridged AP probably more IPQ806X targets are affected.

I did a quick test, my router was on its own subnet 192.168.5.0/24 But I now have made it a Dumb AP, deleted everything from the wan and added the wan port to br-lan, set the IP address in the main lan (192.168.0.1/24) and added gateway and dns and disabled the firewall:

What is not working is that from the LAN ports I cannot connect/ping the router at 192.168.0.5, but I can from the WAN port????

Not sure what to make of this, I know this router has a dual CPU port to the switch but not sure how to debug this, I know my way around swconfig but how to do this for DSA?
