OpenWrt 22.03.0-rc1 first release candidate

If you have the OpenWrt device connected to the ISP device, you should bridge the ISP device to the OpenWrt device.

Turn off DHCP, wireless, and the firewall on the ISP device, and let the OpenWrt device do that work.

In some cases, you may need to clone the MAC address of the ISP device to the WAN interface of the OpenWrt device.

I am using Ookhla Speed Test for all the speed tests(I have 100mbps symmetrical bandwidth connection) .

Previous to the 22.03.0-rc1, I was running 22.03.2 release on my Archer C50 V3 and I am pretty much sure it had no issues with 2.4Ghz wireless radio. I might go back to that version to further verify the fact.
And the same 22.02.2 was running on my R6220. R6220 had the issue with 2.4Ghz and a weird issue with Realtek FE(10/100mbps) R6220 issue with FE Lan devices. But with the 22.03.0 R6220 seems pretty stable and consistent for all the 2.4ghz, 5Ghz and LAN interface.

Its like the problems I had with Netgear R6220 with OpenWrt 22.02.2 is now the problems I have with OpenWrt 22.03.0-rc1 on Archer C50; minus the FE Lan issue. But I still need to verify once more all that I said.
And in both the router with 22.03.0-rc1 nlbwmon along with software flow offloading does not work(pretty much sure and tested).

TL;DR:- OpenWrt 22.03.0-rc1 stable on R6220 and have issues on Archer C50

Right.

I was suggesting the Speedtest Desktop, or smart phone app...takes the browser out of the equation.

Just to confirm, you have WMM enabled for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

Yes, it is enabled.

It gives the same results.

Looks like Felix has been busy with MT76 commits -

https://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt%2Fopenwrt.git&a=search&h=HEAD&st=commit&s=mt76:

You might roll back to stable 21.02.3, or try the snapshot on the C50 and see how that goes.

Yup, I am rolling back to 21.02.3 stable release. Will try the sanpshot later.

Ok you sugger i try Snapshot for see ?

Up to you.

I'm doing fine after rolling back to stable 21.02.3.

Ok my router is not compatible to 21.02.3 is rt3200 belkin, mt7622 ax

I will try snapshot and keep informed

I'm seeing this on a Totolink X5000R (ramips/mt7621) shortly after startup.

The image was built using the image builder:

make image PROFILE=totolink_x5000r PACKAGES="-libustream-wolfssl libustream-openssl -wpad-basic-wolfssl hostapd-openssl -ppp -ppp-mod-pppoe iftop mtr nmap-ssl wireguard-tools"

On openwrt 22.03.0-rc1 for BT Home hub 5, I get the follwing results:-
1 It takes 4 or 5 re-starts to actually boot into 22.03.0-rc1
2 When in, I have to connect via wired to actually obtain wireless
I have reverted back to stable 21.02.3 & hope these errors are corrected in 22.03.0-rc2. I can then resume testing.

if I use attended sysupgrade from 21.02 will it install iptable on new firmware?

No, there are no iptables. You could try iptables-nft. I did but had no success.

Date error !!!

OpenWrt 22.03.0-rc1 - First Release Candidate - 24 April 2021

No issues for the last 2 weeks on my Archer C7 v4. I use it only as AP, though.

Tested on Belkin RT3200. Basic use. Works.

Some disconnects with 2.4GHz, but think it is the microwave next door. Had same problems with previous router, a DLink.
