OpenWrt 19.07.2 on FritzBox 7530 unable to bring up WiFi

Hi all

I am proceding in installing OpenWRT on FritzBox 7530, I have succesfully booted the 19.07.2 initramfs but there is a problem with wireless interface

The content of the firmware directory is:

I did not proceed with flashing due to this issue. What can be the problem? I am using Openwrt official release 19.07.2

Hi

Actually it is not a problem. Inspecting the hotplug for firmware I have found that initramfs image lack of fritz tools to extract ART and its dependencies.

I do not know if it is done on purpose or it is a mistake but it is jot a big deal once flashed (it is if someone what to poke around with openwrt)

... asking because I like to install OpenWrt on FB7530 - unfortunately confused about TFTP...

WiFi works just fine, what I wanted to say is that initramfs image is incomplete and shall be used only for the flashing procedure

The main question is: What commands are necessary putting intramfs image via TFTP on the Box?

"-v" for verbose... Or is it like this?

tftp 192.168.1.1

You do not have to perform a tftp put you need to open a server! Follow the instruction

I really don't understand what the official instruction of FB7530 says:

Copy the OpenWRT initramfs (!) image to a TFTP server root directory and rename it to 'FRITZ7530.bin'.

Assuming the TFTP server should run on the local PC I copy FRITZ7530.bin to /var/lib/tftpboot. Then the box get the file itself without user interaction?!?
edit: ... local TFTP server is running; apparently it is required to connect to the bootloader via "telnet", and to tell the BOX to get the images on my harddisk via its TFTP client, isn't it?

No, you do not need to do anything. The uboot you loaded at step 1 with the python script will poll every 5 seconds the presence of the initramfs file on the tftp root directory and load it. So you just need to start a tftp server and as instruction says the tftp server shall run on 192.168.1.70 interface
The applicable instruction are in the second link you provided, just follow them exactly

Try to run everything on Windows. Use tftp32. Also make sure that the python step works ok
