OpenWrt 19.07.x ath79 tiny LuCI

If I change the ROM chip to an 8MB one, do I have to compile another firmware or am I able to use the ones you've compiled?

I guess the images could work, but I never tried to replace ROM chip. Maybe you won't be able to install more packages though, because opkg might be partially removed.

I see, maybe I could install the stock version for that WR841. Last time I tried, the router did not come up. Kept in a boot loop.

I cannot access your site from 1st post (timeout). Edit: Working again...
Is there an image for TL-WR841N v9? I want to run combined AP/managed mode (not DumpAP).
Edit: There is an v9 image indeed....

Sorry, I'm experiencing a very specific bug with pfSense firewall and was trying to pinpoint the problem and minimize outage for other clients on network while traffic rush hours lasted. The result was longer outage from outside. The site is up now.
Generally if it's down again, it will be up again in 8 hours tops.

Would be nice to work on these too. But unfortunately, they haven't been updated to 18.06.8 yet.

They have been like that since long. Having them with SQM at least guarantees a little bit of extra juice.

Any luck for MR3420v2? can you make a snapshot for it? Thanks for your work with all the devices.

Sorry, due to reasons mentioned on OpenWrt wiki, you shouldn't expect any releases for this device. Also I'm not the right one to ask this.

OpenWRT 19.07.3 compiled. Download location is almost the same - just another directory.

I've tried 19.07.2-targets-ath79-tiny-luci-upnp and 19.07.3-targets-ath79-tiny-luci on tplink_tl-mr3420-v1 - it works.
I've noticed that MAC's of LAN and WAN was swapped one with another.
Thank you!

Have you tried original 18-06-8 image for 841?https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/18.06.8/targets/ar71xx/tiny/
It includes LuCI and opkg, and you can try to add SQM according to the manual.

Hi, I know it is possible but, the custom build had all extra goodies without opkg. Therefore, it would be nice to have the latest bug fixing build of 18. with the extra packages.

Hi guys,
Apologies for pushing it again but does these builds work with TP-Link archer c60v2?

The router you mentioned doesn't even need 4MB image as it has 8MB flash. Please follow the guides found on page for your device.
https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tp-link_archer_c60_v2

It seems stable. Any reason for these builds not being in the official build?

I really don't know. Maybe they are missing some features promised for all official builds? From my point of view LuCI with webserver should have maximum priority over anything else (ppp support).

@Ashus, I added a note to TL-WR841 device page about this forum thread. It might help someone willing to test an unofficial beta version. Are you ok with this? Should I also add a note to the remaining models?

Yes, sure you can do that. I just don't think the description is accurate. It is not a beta IMO, but a tagged release custom compiled with LuCI. Beta could imply it's based on a daily snapshot.

FYI - I have changed beta to community build.

Thanks, @tmomas.
