OpenVPN two tunnels same subnet?

I just had a weird issue with OpenVPN I've never seen before:

Two tunnels, different locations, got assigned the same subnet on my end (via masquerading?). It did not serve any clients. A reboot solved the problem.

I did not think that was possible?

If you are talking about two OpenVPN clients it can happen.

The OpenVPN client gets an IP address delegated by the OpenVPN server there is no negotiation if that subnet is already present.

Yep, multiple OpenVPN clients. Good to know, makes me think PBR and OpenVPN might not be such a good choice after all.
