OpenVPN - Tun0 issues

Installing and Using OpenWrt

Following the Proton VPN guide for OpenWrt

Ive installed packages, downloaded and installed the config file from proton.
Ive enabled and 'started' the VPN.

However when I attempt any other steps there is no 'interface' setup, and there is no 'tun0'

Hence Im now unable to complete any of the following steps.
Any ideas?

tun0 will appear in Luci/Network/Interfaces/Devices tab.
