Yes. We just need to know if the PC can hold a stable RDP connection via the VPN when using an alternate path. And we need to compare back to back to ensure that this isn't some transient issue with respect to the remote VPN endpoint or anything beyond that.
Sorry, I didn't understand: the test using my mobile phone as a hotspot gave a positive result in the sense that the rdp connection through openvpn was stable.
OK, I have done all the tests and I confirm that OpenVPN works with the original firmware. Reinstalled Openwrt and the problem returned.
