It really is an interesting feature. And quite tricky to configure manually, but I really wanted it in.
I think most of the OpenWRT-configuration related features I wanted are now added. 
There is still some monitoring, client steering and client key rotations I want to add (to automatically replace the guest network keys). But I first need to focus on some other personal projects which I've been neglecting for too long
