Only 32KB of free space left on AX23

When I read the descriptions about the device before the installation, I saw that the device had a 16mb flash. However, after the installation, the flash storage only shows 32kb of free space in the 8mb flash. Am I reading something wrong or is there a problem with the device? I would be glad if you could help.

How do you read it? Show df -k

Your description is a tad contradictory, please post the output of df -h.

If I read the source for your device correctly, it should have a 16 MB spi-nor flash, of which 15'744 KB appear to be usable. Considering that the OpenWrt base image itself weighs around 7.1 MB, I would expect that you end up with roughly 8 MB free space at your disposal, give or take.

16mb is total space, not available space, and I'm pretty sure free space is more than 32kb on a freshly installed AX23, I guess you've added some packages?

Here df -h ss.

Overlay size 8.8M, used 8.7M ....?

You need to tell us what "after installation" really means.

After installation, I mean after flashing. https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/23.05.4/targets/ramips/mt7621/openwrt-23.05.4-ramips-mt7621-tplink_archer-ax23-v1-squashfs-factory.bin I downloaded this image and upgraded the firmware via TPLink webui.

And you haven't installed any package afterwards, nor updated anything ?

Actually I noticed the problem when I tried to install wireguard. After updating the repos, when I tried to install wireguard, it gave an error and said that there was only 32 kb of free space.

It's a yes/no question, yet you failed to answer it.

Ok, when I reset it to factory settings, more than 8mb of space was freed as you said. I admit my mistake. I should have debugged it more carefully. I'm sorry for taking your and other responders' valuable time.

Here's some good reading about the thing you didn't do: https://openwrt.org/meta/infobox/upgrade_packages_warning
