Old firmware for MT7986

Am I right in saying that the latest upstream firmware for the wireless module of MT7986 SoC dates back to 2022??

Was wondering if there is any newer version that can help resolve several issues like low wifi bandwith etc.

Sorry? What problem is "etc" ? Low bandwidth is from interference, not firmware.

So you say that an iphone 14 0.5 meters away from the dumb AP (mt6000) with iperf3 measuring ~150Mbps is due to interference??

While lan-to-lan server (pc) - to - client (mt6000) measures around 2.37Gbps

I have read a lot about poor wifi performance with this SoC and I am hoping it is due to old (mediatek) linux wifi firmware

Local bridge does not cross wifi, just like 10cgbe netcard will not speed up 150Mbps wifi4

Also measuring against router *s not represen%ative of its forwarding/nat-ing abilities.

You can get year older firmwares set from that site to prove your point.

Can you explain that pls?
