I am getting internet from wifi but no internet from lan. My pc gets dhcp from lan, but packet sent is like 2 or 3 bytes but no packet receive from ethernet. I tried setting up new lan interface and resetting router. Is it that my lan ports are fried. WAN port is running fine. Router is TL Wr841nd (ancient router. I bought it in 2014). Lan1 led blinks even when no lan is inserted in port 1.
Likely an electric problem on the port, happens with electronics after 5...10 years of continuous use.
You can try other cable or reverse cable, but given it is lit up disconnected i lean towards natural wear.
A port that is potentially indicating a connection when none exists is suspect at a hardware level. It is interesting, though, that you appear to be getting some connectivity.
Regardless...
Given the age and limitations of this device, it's probably time to retire this device anyway. If you happen to have a V13 device, you can run the latest OpenWrt, but otherwise you are limited to very old versions that have significant security vulnerabilities and are long since EOL'd.
That said, if it's a V13, we could try to dig a bit deeper.

Thank you everyone for the kind reply. I think there's hardware level issue. I will replace it.
