No internet on LAN and WIFI after config restore to new Fritzbox

Dear Forum Participants,

In order to set up an additional network segment in a newly furnished flat in my house, I bought a Fritzbox4040 (devicename=FB4040-205) and saved a configuration backup from another Fritzbox4040 with which I make the network in our flat (devicename FB4040-201). I read this configuration backup into the new Frotzbox 4040, adjusted the new IP addresses for WAN (192.168.200.96), LAN (192.168.205.1), WIFI (192.168.206.1) and then connected the device. Under its IP, FB4040-205 is reachable from its LAN interface.

The Fritzbox 7590AX (IP192.168.200.1), which does the Internet, has a configuration that takes FB4040-205 into account, but only shows it as "device not currently in use". Another Fritzbox (FB4040-201) has Internet access via the Fritzbox 7590AX. The FB4040-205 has no Internet access (not via LAN and not via WIFI).

A ping from FB4040-203 to the IP 192.168.200.1 already fails.

Where can I look for the error?

Firmware version: OpenWrt 22.03.5 r20134-5f15225c1e / LuCI openwrt-22.03 branch git-23.119.80898-65ef406

should give you device access again.

In general, moving config tarballs between different devices (or OpenWrt versions) -even if both are the same model- is not guaranteed to be safe, as it may include device specific information (e.g. MAC addresses). While I have no idea if that's the case with the Fritz!Box 4040, it's better avoided and the device set up individually by hand again.

OK, thank you for the information.
I'am going to flash again and make the setup from hand new!
