Hello. I just installed OpenWRT on my NETGEAR WNDR3800 and it all seemed to go well. But I have no internet connection. I'm not really sure what to do right now. I tried pinging with the diagnostics tool but I only get bad address and connection refused. I also tried setting firewall input output and forward to accept.
What is eth1 plugged into? Try power-cycling the ISP device.
I'm not sure. The Ethernet cable is connected to LAN2 on my ISP device.
I did get an IP configuration error when I rebooted my PC. I don't know if that could be the issue. Also before OpenWrt my PC showed my internet connection as eth0.
WAN and LAN side subnets overlapping will break internet access.
How do I check/fix this?
wait.
the screen dump wasn't from the upstream router, but your OS.
please learn how to use Windows' snipping tool.
if you bypass the openwrt router, whan IP does your client get ?
My bad. I would but I'm typing from my phone cause I have no internet.
Wait wdym by bypass? ![]()
what's upstream of your WNDR some ISP device ?
Yes that's correct
care to elaborate ?
and how was it connected previously ?
same router, but stock firmware ?
this is a picture from/of ... ?
Routing settings inside openwrt
start by power cycling your ISP device.
2nd thing to do is to compare the MAC address of the openwrt WAN port with the MAC address on the bottom sticker of the WNDR.
are you sure you didn't use any authentication and special config for the connection when on stock, like PPPoE ?
