So my motherboard only has a DP IN and the only way I can get video signal out the integrated graphics is through a Thunderbolt hub which has HDMI output. System boots fine, I can see grub menu and enter bios, but when I boot up OpenWRT, I lose signal. System is responsive as I can ctrl+alt+delete. Any reason why I cannot get video signal out the hub? Many thanks.
Try adding the nomodeset kernel param in grub.

Thanks, that got me to somewhere. It does not switch the display off but now I get an error usb 1-13: can't set config #1, error -110. But I get to the command line anyway, so thanks for the help!
