NIC recommendation for new X86 build

I'm looking to put together a new build and was considering the following card with the I226 chipset. Is anybody successfully using this chipset or would a different one be better? https://www.amazon.com/Network-Adapter-Gigabit-2500Mbps-Ethernet/dp/B0DMJVPCXB

I have the chipset. It’s a beast.

Why not just go 10gig when nic prices are what they are? Just make sure said nic can run at 2.5 if that is a feature you want.

You are using it with OpenWrt? Any issues?

Is there a specific card you would recommend for OpenWrt?
