Newbie Development for C2300

Dear Colleagues,
I’m a complete novice/ newbie, and want to develop a working image / software for the Tp-Link C2300 Router. It’s version 2, with a SOC: MT7621AT
WLAN-Hardware: MT7615N (2x).
Please can I ask where I begin, and how do I learn from scratch, compiling the image / software for this router ?.

If the chipset in the router I intend to build an image for is already supported (but in a different router ), do I refer to the ‘Adding new device support’?.

Yes.
Doesn't it say so, rather explicitly?

Adding a new target/ SOC would waaaayyyy more involved than that.
