New Xiaomi router AC2100

I experience issue with latest Xiaomi AC2100 router - it has MT7621 ver:1 eco:4 CPU. Using 23.05 TX power on 2.4MHz is limited to 7 dBm. Tried latest snapshot - TX power now can go up to 15 dBm. I have two older AC2100 (MT7621 ver:1 eco:3) that can go up to 27dBm on 2.4. Can this be fixed?

I’ve encountered an issue where, after 1-3 weeks, a client is connected to my network but can’t transfer data. The affected client(s) seems to be random. The other clients have no issues.
Additionally, my IKEA Symphonisk Wi-Fi speaker, which already has a poor connection due to its old Wi-Fi standard, has become even more unstable, experiencing dropouts. However, both issues are resolved when I reboot or power cycle the Xiaomi AC2100 (firmware version 23.05.2).

Any Ideas?

I "fixed" it by downgrading to OpenWrt 21.02.2
I believe that's the newest firmware for this router that doesn't have those issues.

Unfortunately the wifi performance is poor, might be my settings but I can't break the 300mbps barrier no matter what. On stock firmware this router can do 800mbps.

EDIT: Turns out I had the wrong country in the wifi settings, changing it to china fixed the wifi speed issues (mine is a chinese version, not global)

Hello, why can there be 100 megabits per download instead of 300? 300 for upload. I tried all the firmware and 21.02.2. I also tried turning off the firewall. Enable SQM. All this does not give any result. When testing speed, the processor is not loaded. No additional packages are installed. On the stock firmware, the speeds are as they should be. Help me!

Test and test №2

Hello everyone!
Please advise, I recently bought a used router AC 2100, it currently has the firmware AsusWRT, can I somehow install OPENWRT on this firmware? Or do I need to roll back to factory settings first?

Roll bak to factory firmware first.

Hello all, i have installed openwrt on my Redmi AC2100 long time ago and it was working perfectly since then, never updated or touched it.
Now i want to update it to latest version and i'm wondering can i do it easily through openwrt interface or i have to do something else?
I'm currently on version 19.07.3 r11063-85e04e9f46 .

Also, will updating it to latest version remove/delete all my current settings on it?

Thank you.

Hello everyone. I can't reset this router via reset button. LED blinking, device rebooting but then it asks for old password which i don't know. Bootloader and firmware is stock. Also when i flash ROM in PXE-bootloader only 2.0.7 and 2.0.23 are starting. Any other ROMs (2.0.503, 1.0.14 and 1.0.11) flashes fine but doesn't start — System LED is yellow. Any ideas?
