When will we get the new update for openwrt
Maintenance releases: Typically whenever there is a critical security update and/or a 'critical mass' of bug fixes.
Major releases: After a new release series is tagged and branched and it goes through the process of refinement and regression testing. This usually also includes at least one, often many "Release Candidate" (RC) versions before the official stable release.
As of right now, 23.05.2 is the latest with no current projection on when 23.05.3 might come out. 24.xx is still not tagged/branched, and there is no guarantee that there will be a 24.xx version.

I guess with the 6.6 LTS being decided instead of 6.1 LTS for the next major release, the next one probably much later (but I'm fine with that, I really want the kernel version getting closer to current mainline for hardware compatibility)
