New isp, no ipv6 offered #lame what options do i have?

switched to tds fiber and they dont have ipv6 which is wierd this day and age but whatever.

what is the best option here? go without and stay full ipv4? or is there a simple way to get ipv6 access back, do i really need it?

Almost everything is reachable over IPv4 so you should be fine even without IPv6.

I administer a lot of routers for friends and family who have only IPv4 implemented and I have never heard complaints

If you really need IPv6 then research HE tunnel

That said I would not put your ISP on my recommended list

ge worked well, back to full ipv6 what real world issues might i see with this?

wellll that lasted long, turns out netflix is unusable on a tunnel. soooooo oh well, wonder if i could setup my own 6in4 to another endpoint or somthing

I would still let the ISP know about your dissatisfaction, let them know that lacking IPv6 support puts them at least a decade behind the times (and that you really want it).

I've rented a VPS (Linode) and had the same problem that some sites blacklist the IP since it "belongs to a data center" instead of a consumer ISP.

As a fellow TDS Fiber user, this inspired me to contact TDS again. They tell me it's available as an option for business class service only. Business service is at least $10-$15 a month more though so I'm not going to bother.

There's reddit thread of folks annoyed by this. Please contact TDS and tell them you disagree with this and that they need to move into the 21st century and provide IPv6 for everyone.
