I already saw a few times, but maybe this one makes sense to people reading it:
I have a bananapi R4 as a dumb AP,
it has a 10gbe connection on eth1.
it has a 1gbit connection via the built-in LAN0 port to my PC
and the eth2 interface is also connected, but at a faster speed (10gbe).
How do I team those 2 in a failover config?
The idea is: the firmware is pretty unstable,
and when booting to recovery, eth2 is not connected anywhere.
But, if I could make a team of eth2 and lan0 so my PC 'sees' eth2 is up -> eth2, otherwise use lan0, it would be a lot easier to access the BPI.
Any suggestions? how do I write this in /etc/config/networks?
luci-proto-bonding, bond mode 0 or 1 are failover.
I'm somewhat confused here:
will it make a virtual interface I can add to the br-lan switch?
or is it simply a way to use a team to talk to a team endpoint?
It can be bridge member, or you can add individual VLANS to bridges
