Netgear XR1000 support

I was wondering if there will ever be support for Netgear xr1000?

It would be awesome to use openwrt on it.

It has a Broadcom BCM6750, so chances are about zero. Broadcom is very much open-source hostile, so the drivers simply don't exist for their devices to be supported.
