Netgear WNDR4300 Wifi signals not working with hostapd-utils

I’m using WPS in one environment on a Netgear WNDR4300 which requires wpad (full) and the hostapd-utils. With commit ‘hostapd: add wpa_disable_eapol_key_retries option’ the wifi signals cannot start because it gives an error on hostapd that it doesn’t recognize the option.

Anyone experienced this and found a solution or workaround?

Thanks in advance.

Is not WPS bad? I read that there are programs in kali linux or blackarch linux that can crack any wifi if WPS is enabled.

@anon20279570 I agree with you that if it is not necessary to use WPS avoid it, but in the environment where I have it running it’s used to connect a wifi printer to the network, I didn’t find another solution for the printer, put some time in it already to look for another solution.

I had the same problem and I managed to solve it by reinstalling the relevant AP packages.

Good luck!
