Hey there, I wonder if 802.11r Fast Roaming is supported by the Netgear R8000 with the Broadcom BCM43602 Wifi chip. I tried to set it up, but it won't work. The issue was already descirbe once on this forum: 802.11r not working properly - #14 by pmera However, nobody confirmed this predication;
Is that true? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you for your time!
I have no idea, it's possible that the driver does not support it.
I would try capturing using tcpdump in monitor mode on another device and seeing whether there are any 802.11r packets.
I get the following error in logread on Linksys EA9200 (also using BCM43602) when 802.11r is enabled: ieee80211 phyX: brcmf_configure_wpaie: Invalid key mgmt info
Clients wlll not connect when 802.11r or 802.11k is active.
BTW, when enabling brcmfmac tracing (debug=4), I also see 28 times per minute brcmfmac: brcmf_netdev_start_xmit phyX-ap0: insufficient headroom (0)
