Netgear r8000 install/reset

So i got a netgear r8000 off ebay - as a forewarning - and downloaded the openwrt-23.05.0-rc2-bcm53xx-generic-netgear_r8000-squashfs.chk for this. After doing a factory reset, i lost completely the wireless. So i flashed stock, and then flashed back to openWRT - wireless is there, factory reset - wireless disappears.

This is dmesg from first boot prior to any changes at all. I flashed this using netgear web interface. I havent seen this before, where the linux partition is forced as read-only.

Is there anything that doesnt appear normal? seeing broadcom 47xx being referred to as well, thought this was 53xx.

Also it appears there is no mac addresses in here, this could be the problem? Could CFE been screwed up? Again, got this off ebay so pretty much anything is possible. It was ultra cheap and am willing to give anything a shot.
