I am getting a used netgear nighthawk r7500 2300mbps x4 for $30. Is it a good deal?. Seems it has 5 gigabits and dual core qualcomm processor. Will use it for AP with NAT.

not really, depends on the other options you've got though...

then it's not an AP ?

It's only sensible, if you'd get a r7500v2. The v1 will never get 5 GHz WLAN support.

Is there any way to find the version number. It seems the version is not written on the router.

Checked the bottom side sticker ?

If in (any) doubt, skip it. The v1 will never get 5 GHz support.

There are pretty much always other alternatives (including wifi6 based oned).
