Netgear R6100/AR9344 - 2.4Ghz wireless not detected

I installed the latest LEDE build to my newly-purchased R6100 router and LEDE doesn't see 2.4Ghz radio. I'm using an external USB dongle for 2.4Ghz so there are two radios now, but I hope to not having to use the external usb dongle in the future.

Here are the lspci, dmesg and lsmod output of the router, there is no ath9k mentioned at all.

I can confirm this is indeed a bug, because the Chaos Calmer 15.05.1 works on this router.
