I saw EX2700 in TOH, so maybe just a new design.
check the fcc db , there should be photos of the internals there.

... and they come without ethernet ports. Traditionally, that has been a stumbling stone for official OpenWrt support. It usually leads to a more or less heated discussion on how to activate/secure wifi out of the box and ends without consensus and everyone forgetting about the device. Most recently even a very generic suggestion on how to treat wifi-only devices failed.
