Need Stock Firmware (ROM) for TP-Link TL-WR850N V2 – Reverting from OpenWrt

Hello everyone,

I recently installed OpenWrt on my TP-Link TL-WR850N V2 router. Though this provides consistent performance. But I’m experiencing power-related issues due to low memory, so I would like to revert to the original stock firmware.

I searched the official TP-Link website and other sources, but I cannot find the stock firmware (ROM) for the TL-WR850N V2.

If any of you have a backup of this official firmware or any link you have, then please give it to me.

Have you read device wiki page revert to stock section?

sysctl vm.min_free_kbytes=1024 | tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf
  1. Yes i read the revert to stock and provided official link for downloading stock firmware not working.
  2. What this command for!
Also if i can't go back to stock firmware, give me some idea how can i reduce memory uses.
  1. https://www.tp-link.com/es/support/download/tl-wr850n/#Firmware (cmon you got google too) - note you need to cut off part of OEM file to apply via OpenWrt. If you do something wrong you write random data where OEM kernel is supposed to be.
  2. It claws back 20-some MB ram on linux

Thank you for your help, tp link auto redirect me to my location, that's cause the problem previously. Now I can download this.

Before go back to stock firmware, I will try to stay in openwrt and try these methods. How can i implement this so that it will auto run for everyday. In shedule tasks or other areas.

3 It is saved and applied at every startup.
