Need help with Fibocom modem in GoldenOrb

Hi everyone,

I need some assistant with my Fibocom in router. My module was set originally to USB mode: "AT+GTUSBMODE=32"

I tried to change it to "AT+GTUSBMODE=31" to see if it will work into my another router. After I changed, I lost connection and now my router is not finding it (No Modem Present).
Now I cannot run any AT command trough COM port. Please let me know if there is anyway to revert it back to "AT+GTUSBMODE=32" or anyway I can run AT commands. Thank you.

See below for the mode description:

31 is "DIAG + MODEM + RMNET + DPL + QDSS + ADB (Reserved QCOM for internal debug only)"

32 is "Diag+Modem+AT+Pipe+RMNET"

It appears you are using firmware that is not from the official OpenWrt project.

When using forks/offshoots/vendor-specific builds that are "based on OpenWrt", there may be many differences compared to the official versions (hosted by OpenWrt.org). Some of these customizations may fundamentally change the way that OpenWrt works. You might need help from people with specific/specialized knowledge about the firmware you are using, so it is possible that advice you get here may not be useful.

You may find that the best options are:

  1. Install an official version of OpenWrt, if your device is supported (see https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org).
  2. Ask for help from the maintainer(s) or user community of the specific firmware that you are using.
  3. Provide the source code for the firmware so that users on this forum can understand how your firmware works (OpenWrt forum users are volunteers, so somebody might look at the code if they have time and are interested in your issue).

If you believe that this specific issue is common to generic/official OpenWrt and/or the maintainers of your build have indicated as such, please feel free to clarify.

I'm using a WS1698AX router with GoldenOrb_2023-12-12 firmware.

This device is not supported by the official openwrt project.

This is not openwrt official firmware. Please ask the maintainers of the Goldenorb firmware.

Do you mind if you can provide an official firmware that work with my device?

It is not supported by openwrt. So you’ll need to look to the vendor for official firmware and support (or to the goldenorb maintainers for help if you continue using that firmware).

Did you manage to solve that problem ? I hit it too.
Someway to fully reset fibocom modem ?!

if they solved it, they solved elsewhere, since device wasn't running openwrt.
