Nanopi and AES?

nanpoi r2s and r3s are in openwrt TOH.

They have ARM with AES.

Can current openwrt on r2s or r3s use its ARM AES for openvpn, or is its support still work in progress? Thanks!

Check in /proc/cpuinfo

Features : fp asimd evtstrm [aes] pmull [sha1] [sha2] crc32 cpuid

Openssl, cryptsetup and ipsec swan certainly supports those.

That is a bit tricky, you need their special kmod to use kernel crypto for network.

So sounds like AES yes for key exchange through openssl and AES no for data openvpn tunnel? What a shame!

DCo kmod with openvpn openssl should be ok

Oh, there you got me, sounds like chinese to me

openvpn-openssl offloads encryption to kernel, that adds much more to throughput than advanced cpu instructions. And those are supported too both in user and kernel space.
