I have a crontab running on my router that runs a logger command at 5 minute intervals to send data to an rsyslogd host. That host collects the data to a file like this:
logger -t comdat "some com data"
The DST (daylight savings time) change occurred switching the clocks back one hour on Nov. 5th.
This missing hour was seen Nov. 6th (today). So there's a gap in the rsyslogd file containing the comdat of exactly 1 hour.
Anyone seen this? Anyone use syslog to offload messages/data from your router? Have you seen gaps like this?
I will look at rsyslogd also.
