yours is mediatek, mine is mediatek too but mine is different model, mine is, RZ608 Wi-Fi 6E 80MHz

and stated as wlan drivers show it says wpa3 ccmp is supported, where can i see in my openwrt device logs of connections?, or in windows? because a simple "cannot connect" even if password is a simple word like " cheeseburguer" for test, it just says cannot connect, but does not explains why, i need to upgrade to wpa 3 as soon as possible

from my research

So here comes the crux: AMD doesnÔÇÖt make the Wi-Fi module. Through our sleuthing, this is actually a rebranded MediaTek MT7921K module with an AMD logo on it. MediaTek sells the modules to AMD who brands them, but also leverages the regulatory compliance that MediaTek has already done for this product. AMD then takes over custom integration projects, sales, marketing, and support for the module. The RZ608 sold by AMD is in an M.2 2230 form factor and uses PCIe 2.1, although the AYANEO likely is using a more custom integration. There is also Bluetooth 5.2.

ohh sh**** soo.... yours is the same than mine right? cause rz is mt921k... theorically if i install your driver i can use it? but i do not know i did this, opened your links in this thread

downloaded the last drivers for bluetooth and the other for no bluetooth, extracted the .cab file (windows update throws error), right click on the inf file and click install, my bluetooth disabled for 1 seccond while installing and then enabled again, same with wifi, buut... cannot wpa3, what im doing wrong? im working blind, no logs nothing, where can i find logs to see what is going on?

They are very similar, rz608 ~= mt7921k (both 6 GHz capable), while mine is the not 6 GHz capable base model mt7921; but both can use the same driver. But, as mentioned, I had a real rz608 for ~2 weeks last summer (sadly that mainboard's voltage regulators were not sufficient and not cooled enough, so the board had be be replaced with a different model), so I have tested it (WPA3 and/ or 6 GHz) on rz608 as well.

I really want a rz608/ mt7921k (because of their 6 GHz capability) card again, I haven't found one for a reasonable price (in a desktop-PCIe adapter, buying all components (mt7922 and PCIe <--> M.2 adapter) separately would be possible, just more expensive - in the range of Intel BE200ÔÇŽ).

ok thats good, so how could i debug it to know what is going on? need to upgrade to wpa 3 urgently, wpa2 is from 2008 and everyone can see what is going on on my wifi :confounded: help

Based on my quest for finding a usable driver, I would start by testing another driver first (as in It took me a long time to identify a driver that would work on 6 GHz, but now it works fine - on win11 and on linux.

If you are looking for a sense of accomplishment, it might be interesting to test boot a recent linux live system from a USB stick (e.g. Fedora 40, something released this year with a current kernel). That 'should' (famous last words) be totally painless on rz608 (much easier than finding the right windows driver). By now, I really prefer mt7921 over Intel's 802.11ax and 802.11be offerings, much easier to work with (especially on linux), less trouble, less lag.

so better using linux?

is there any way i can see logs of what is happening about why i cannot connect? if yes, where
