I haven't found a specific solution on the forums or Internet. Basically when you attach multiple USB network devices, in my case hotspots, the interface names seem to be randomly assigned.
Does anyone have an hotplug examples on how to set interface names persistent to the device? Either by MAC, or device ID, anything I can do to make sure eth2 is B and eth1 is A no matter if I restart or reseat the cable?
The example under the hotplug page show a dependency on TTY and I am not even sure how this would work, but nevertheless my devices do not have TTY files.
